Is it locked to a carrier?

iPhone SE (3rd gen)

UnlockedWorks with any carrier.
LockedTied to one carrier (AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile…).

On the phone, open Settings → General → About and scroll to Carrier Lock. “No SIM restrictions” means unlocked. If it says “SIM Locked”, pick Locked. It's confirmed either way, so a best guess is fine.
